Your Instructor
I graduated in 1995 with a first degree in Greek Philology, specialized in Classical Studies (Ancient / Modern Greek and Latin Language and Literature). I hold an MA in Theoretical Linguistics, an MPhil in English and Applied Linguistics and a PhD in Linguistics with a specialization in teaching Greek as a second language. During my MPhil studies, I studied about TESOL methodology from a theoretical perspective. I am an active researcher in the field of Descriptive and Applied Linguistics.
Some of my special interests are Bilingualism and teaching languages (Greek or English) to foreigners. I am experienced in working with students from different cultural background, as I have worked with adult students in a university environment and I am familiar with the methods used for teaching in bilingual environments.. Finally, I have been practicing techniques related to communicative second language teaching methodology in either the secondary or higher education level.
